Adobe Road is a boutique California winery. Vintages here and there have trickled into Texas in the past, but there has never been a true presence. Recently, client, friend and Wine Bargain Sleuth Author, Len Musgrove joined the partnership at Adobe Road. The idea of hosting a tasting and dinner soon took on momentum. The planning took us longer than expected, but now we know the wines, have the menu. We are pleased to announce that THIS Thursday, August 25th we will be pouring Adobe Road Wines paired to an incredible menu paired Pascal Cayet at Lavendou. The final wine poured will be Cabernet from the fabled Beckstoffler, George III Vineyard. Discussions will be conducted by representatives of the winery, Domaine and Estates and Masuta. The menu is below. $75.00 includes food and wine. Call , email or text us for reservations.

All of the very best for your weekend, Rex and Michele
Galloni 97 points; Costanti's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is stunning. Dark, powerful and mysterious in the glass, the 2010 captivates all the senses with its breathtaking beauty and layered, multi-dimensional personality. Lavender, violets, savory herbs, smoke, plums and graphite flow through to the rich, explosive finish. There is a prism-like sense of transparency allied to pure power in the 2010 that is impossible miss. Readers who can find the 2010 should not hesitate; it is a must-have. While many 2010s are approachable today, the Costanti's 2010 is not; it is a wine for the cellar. Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media, February 2015
Parker 95 points: This is a spectacular effort. The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino shows deep, inner intensity and lovely aromatic characteristics that are very true to the mighty Sangiovese grape. You can't go wrong with a wine like this, especially if you are seeking the true flavors of Montalcino. The aromas are presented in neat and tidy fashion with wild berry, blue flower, spice and herb that converge to create a united front. In the mouth, the wine delivers ample power and momentum with dark flavors and firm structure. The wine need another few years of bottle aging to flesh out further. 95 points! Robert Parker (Issue # 223 - Mar 2016) eRobertParker.com
Wine Enthusiast 96 Points; Aromas of menthol, leather, pressed violet, forest floor and woodland berry lead off this intense Brunello. The firm, delicious palate offers dried red cherry, crushed raspberry, ground white pepper and licorice alongside a backbone of assertive but fine-grained tannins and racy acidity. It's impeccably balanced and elegant but still young, so give it time to develop to its full potential. Drink 2020-2035. Wine Enthusiast 96 points (May 2015)
Wine Spectator 94 Points; Rich, with a smooth texture and lively structure supporting the mulled cherry, licorice, leather and tobacco flavors. This firms up - a good sign in a young red, with a lingering finish of tobacco and spice. Best from 2018 through 2029. 2,500 cases made.94 points Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator Magazine, June 30, 2015
The proof is always in the glass!
