2015 Long Shadows "Feather" Columbia Valley Cabernet
97 points Jeb Dunnuck
The 2015 Feather Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that was brought up in 90% new French oak barrels. Its inky purple color is followed by a seamless, pure, impeccable balanced Cabernet that has loads of currants, scorched earth, graphite, and espresso aromas and flavors. Deep, rich, gorgeously pure and polished, with building tannin, it's a heavenly Cabernet Sauvignon that has everything you could want. It's the finest vintage to date of this cuvée and is capable of lasting for 20-25 years. (4/2018)
96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Feather is lovely, unfurling in the glass with aromas of cassis, blackberries, petroleum jelly and burning embers. On the palate, it's full-bodied, ripe and powerful, with an expansive attack and an ample core of dark berry fruit, underpinned by a fine-grained, stony chassis of ripe tannins. This wine is made by Howell Mountain veteran Randy Dunn, and its profile - while marked by the torrid 2015 vintage - will be familiar to followers of the wines he produces there. (WK) (6/2018)
There are 54 bottles available of 2013 Lamborn Family Howell Mountain Cabernet at $89.50. That is by far the best price on the net. Lamborn is made by Heidi Barrett, the wine maker who put Screaming Eagle on the map. In this case she is working with highly extracted and rich mountain fruit from some of the oldest vines on Howell Mountain. The result is big black and blue fruit with integrated components of volcanic ash. Lamborn is legendary and hard to get. Most of it goes to restaurants or gets sold at the winery. These 54 bottles were locked down for steak houses, but not as much steak gets served when it is over 100 degrees outside nor the wine to go with it.
-2013 is a perfect vintage in Napa and the wines are
getting much harder to find.

Heidi Barett Winemaker
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is the denser of the two wines, but also more structured and tannic. It has notes of pen ink, blackberry, licorice, camphor, and a touch of subtle oak in the background. The wine is full-bodied and ripe with moderate tannin. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon made by Heidi Barrett. I suspect it will last for a good 20-25 years. 93+ points Robert Parker
Heidi Barrett makes this 100% varietal wine, coaxing lovely, fully ripe cherry and cassis notions from the intensely perfumed glass. A sizable tannic structure girds the fruit, adding graphite and tar accents. It finishes on a dried herb note. 92 points Wine Enthusiast
2013 Howell at the Moon, Howell Mountain
(700 Cases Produced)
$79 per this offer only
Blackberry, blueberry, cassis, a more voluptuous Cab does not exist in Napa. Very big, chewy velvety tannins, big finish with rich blueberry, smoke and chocolate. Though Parker gives this wine high scores each vintage. He has not yet released scores on the 2013. Matthew, Michele and I all think it will receive at least 95 points, so we are going to put it in the 95 plus point tasting above as a secret bonus and have the guests submit a score.
All the best, Rex & Michele
FYI - The Estate Cabernet is absolutely beautiful. If you have ever bought any of the previous vintages, this is CLASSIC Howell at the Moon. So, elegant with the most velvety finish.
Also, we had appetizers after tasting the Howell at the Moons, not only is it priced great, the burger, bacon wrapped shrimp and ravioli were awesome (ravioli not on happy hour menu, but we had it at the last wine dinner and it is worth it!). A very nice and "cool" (temperature wise) happy hour starting at 4:30. Tell them we sent you!! FULL WRITEUP HERE

2011 Keenan Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
Spring Mountain District SOLD OUT
$69 per, 48 bottles available
$90 is the lowest price on the net- $114
One of our local distributors called with a great tip and exceptional pricing on a designer Cab, perfectly cellared and with age. While doing an inventory 48 bottles of 2011 Keenan Spring Mountain Reserve Cab turned up. Knowing that we do well with older vintages and Library Releases they called us first.
P.S. we have been fans of Keenan for years but have not had the opportunity to take notes on this wine. Pro reviews below.
All the very best, Rex and Michele.
Vinous 94 points - Dark cherry, plum, spice, mocha, tobacco, new leather and licorice notes emerge from the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. Here it is the wine's depth and creaminess allied to a classic sense of structure that impresses. The 2011 should drink well relatively early, but there is also enough depth to support another 10-15 years beyond that, perhaps longer. The 2011 Reserve isn't an obvious wine, but it sure is beautiful. (Nov 2013)
Wine & Spirits 94 points - A finely tailored mountain wine, this proves the quality that could be achieved above the fog in 2011. It has the cool feel of the forest on Spring Mountain, the wine's freshness portrayed in scents of violets, red apple skin, cedar and humus. Savory rather than directly fruity, this emphasizes the power and grace of its tannins, their cool briskness of crushed rock leaving the mouth feeling refreshed. It may be rich, but the flavors remain precise.

Bevan Cellars Proprietary Red EE Red Blend 2015
Oakville - Napa Valley - California - United States
Rated 100 by Robert Parker
Composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot, the 2015 Proprietary Red EE Tench Vineyard gives a deep garnet-purple color and is scented of crushed red currants, ripe cherries, red plums and mulberries with wafts of dried meat, sage, pencil shavings and dusty soil. The full-bodied mouth is full-on gorgeous, with blockbuster ripe, fine-grained tannins and tons of red and black fruit layers complemented with earth and savory notions, culminating in an epically long, layered finish.
