Viña Pérez Cruz is a family-owned, single-estate producer of expressive red wines from the stony soils of the Maipo Valley. The winery and the Liguai vineyard are located in the "Maipo Andes" sub-region. This area is 30 miles southeast of Santiago, nestled against the Andes mountain foothills between 1,450 and 1,700 foot elevations. The family purchased the property in 1963 and first planted vines there in 1994.
The rocky soils and temperate microclimate of the region create exceptional growing conditions. Additionally, the cooling influences of the Andes mountain air and the Pacic Ocean breezes allow for slow ripening conditions that lead to a fresh, vibrant fruit expression, natural acidity, and soft tannins.
2011 M. Chapoutier Hermitage Monier de la Sizeranne
Hermitage, that place in the Northern French Rhone Valley, has for centuries been considered the home of the greatest Syrahs in the world. Chapoutier's la Sizeranne is year after year of stellar quality and is always highly collectible. The 2011 vintage is not only exceptional in stucture, it has entered its drinking period now. Consequently, this has already become a wine of multiple layers and flavor dynamics. Both red and black fruit, this wine is full of nuance!! Now the best part, normally pricing on this wine ranges from $99-$138
per bottle. Today we can offer the 2011 Chapoutier Hermitage Monier de la Sizeranne at $75 per bottle, 10% off 6 or more!! Very Limited Availability!!

Ripe, with a lovely ensemble of loganberry, raspberry and blackberry fruit at the core, backed by singed anise, alder and briar notes. Shows good energy through the finish, with a backdrop of mulled spice that should emerge with cellaring. Best from 2015 through 2021. 92 points Wine Spectator
Moving to the reds, the 2011 Ermitage Monier de la Sizeranne doesn't pull any punches and dishes up sexy, voluptuous levels of black cherries, raspberry, spice, dusty rock and crushed flowers. Medium to full-bodied, textured and with low acidity, it is distinctly delicious and hard to resist. 92 points The Wine Advocate
"Saturated ruby. Ripe cherry, blackcurrant, olive and woodsmoke on the deeply scented nose. Broad and fleshy on entry, then more tightly coiled in the middle, offering an array of juicy red and dark fruit flavors and a touch of licorice pastille, The smoky quality comes back strong on the clinging, incisive finish, which features silky tannins, peppery spices and a hint of cola." 91 points Vinous / Antonio Galloni
"A selection of fruit from Méal, Bessards and Greffieux, Monier de la Sizeranne is tight and reticent in 2011, needing a day of air to get beyond its oak. Even then, the purple fruit feels held back by granite tannins, the contrast of ripe fruit and cool rock a reminder of the vintage's cool spells. Drink now with a thick steak or hold another seven to ten years." 90 points Wine & Spirits

Winemaker's Notes:Dark, vibrant purple and red hues present in this wine. Blackberry and black plum aromas combine with graphite, espresso, dark chocolate, mocha, cedar, and white pepper. Flavors of black plum, black cherry and currant interminglewith dark molasses and a light vanillin oak with dusty finegrain tannins. This is a structured Cabernet Sauvignon with length, flavor and styleReviews:
"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, which spent 18 months in new French oak, is sexy. Loads of blueberry and dark black raspberry notes soar from the glass of this cedary, spicy, medium to full-bodied wine. It shows good purity, a lush, seductive fragrance and mouthfeel, and a long, heady finish. It is drinking well now but should continue to evolve for up to 10-15 years." 91 points The Wine Advocate
"An amazing transformation has occurred the winery, the 2013 St. Supéry Cabernet is now a powerhouse of ripe fruit from start to finish. This is the winery's best to date! Deep ruby color; ripe fruit, sweet oak aroma; rich and highly textured on the palate; dry, medium acidity, good balance; bold, ripe red and black fruit flavors, a touch of oak; smooth and long in the aftertaste. Drinking very well now. (Tasted: October 23, 2015, San Francisco, CA)" 91 points Wilfred Wong of Wine.com
"A ripe and juicy red with velvety tannins and plenty of plum, walnut and spice character. Full body, fresh finish. Better in 2019."

2011 Nardi Brunello di Montalcino
It has come to our attention that this offer was missed by some clients, as well as some who responded and it did not make it back to us.
So, we are sending again. We have now set in place a procedure where the client will receive an invoice once created. So, if you respond to an offer and you do not receive an invoice shortly after that (could be a day depending on when the offer is made), call us!! Our numbers are below. For those of you who already received the offer, my apologies. For those who bought it, THANK YOU.
Last TIDBIT - for you Cabernet & Bordeaux drinkers, the Adaptation Cabernet yesterday....it is an OMG wine!! Cannot believe the emails and comments from those who had it or have tasted at the winery! A true crowd pleaser...as is this Brunello. Michele
This wine has been in a lot of our tastings in the past and it always shows beautifully. And, we never complain when we get to taste it!! However, it is never priced right for us to sell. First time ever, the distributor cut us a break letting us offer it at $49.50 per (pretty much what we were paying wholesale in the past). This is the lowest price on the net. Average bottle is $61 per. Let me know if this is something you would like. M
We have tasted the 2011 Nardi Brunello on many occasions. The Nardi is in Emilliano Montchiero's portfolio (Kobrand) so we have had opportunity to taste each vintage since the 2008. Each vintage has been beautiful. The heavenly structured tannins which are classic to 2011 has this Brunello already offering flavor profile combinations of both cherry and blueberry. The problem with the Nardi has been that it was never priced competitively in this market, until now. R
Winemaker's Notes: This deep, ruby-red wine has intense, complex aromas of red fruits and spices, with toasty oak notes. The wine shows a silky texture, great finesse and profound flavors, framed by noble, velvety tannins. Though impressive now, this wine will benefit from aging. Pair with thick porterhouse steak or rich fish such as sturgeon or grouper.
"Underbrush, red berry, scorched earth and dark spice aromas emerge in the glass. The structured, chewy palate offers mature black cherry, clove, ground pepper and star anise set in a firm framework of fine-grained tannins. Drink 2018-2028." Wine Enthusiast 92 points
"A fruity, juicy red with dried-berry, strawberry and chocolate aromas and flavors. Full body with round, velvety tannins. Flavorful finish. The overripe character is a little dominating but it shows freshness. Drink now." James Suckling 91 points
"A sweet core of cherry, leather and spice notes heralds this fresh, firm red. Balanced and long, echoing fruit and spice hints on the aftertaste. Best from 2018 through 2027." Wine Spectator - 90 points
A meeting with Mike: Plumpjack + Cade Collaboration = An Adaptation ~ NOT YET REVIEWED
We had a meeting with Mike from Republic today. The subject being 2013 Adaptation Cabernet Sauvignon. Adaptation is an 8 barrel collaboration (approx. 450 cases) of Plumpjack and Cade using all elite single vineyard fruit. This bottle utilizes exquisite Napa components and combines them with a French winemaking style to produce a Napa Cabernet which encompasses luxurious plum flavors, white chocolate, black pepper spice and an enticing cappuccino finish. Having said that, this is a traditionally made wine which will probably cellar for 15 years. In our humble opinion, when it comes to Plumpjack, Cade or Adaptation is the best of the three or at least this particular release. This wine is not yet reviewed, probably because it is featured almost exclusively in the most highbrowed country clubs in the country - their target market. To hell with that, enjoy it with dinner, although Michele says it is so seemless, you really do not need food. We were expecting a good Cabernet, not a great one!!! $52.95 per

2010 Yering Station Shiraz/Viognier
We are receiving a lot of samples for evaluation currently. Wine producers are shifting houses and vintages are changing, consequently there are a lot of very deep deals in the market. Yesterday We opened a bottle of 2010 Yering Station Shiraz/Viognier. We don't always recommend Australian Shiraz based wines. They are often too jammy, too new world. The 2010 Yering Station is neither. This Shiraz which is splashed with the white and very aromatic varietal Viognier is a blend in reverence of great Cote Rotie. That place called Cote Rotie is in the French Northern Rhone Valley. There they splash their exquisite Syrah with plus or minus 5 percent Viognier which adds great complexity to these wines. The depth and aromatics of Cote Rotie makes that genre one of the most collected and most expensive around. This little Australian captures that style pretty well. The Yering has velvety RED fruit, not at all jammy or overbearing. This Shiraz is a very pleasing appetizer and cocktail red. There is cherry raspberry flavors, spice and supple, well integrated tannins. We are now 2 days into the bottle and it is better today than yesterday. We tried it with hamburger steaks yesterday and the wine went great. We tried it today with some smoked turkey breast and Canadian bacon. This is also an excellent pairing The bright red flavor profile is excellent for holiday recipes. The Yerlng was released at $25.-$29 per bottle. We have six cases available at $19.50 per bottle which makes it EXCEPTIONAL FOR HOLIDAY GUESTS. (10% of on 6 bottles $17.55 per )
All the very best, REX And MICHELE
Australian Wine Companion - "Bright, clear crimson; a supremely fragrant bouquet with red and black cherry fruit interwoven with allspice, the immaculately constructed and balanced palate, with fine, faintly savory, tannins and a blessing of French oak, once again proves Yering Station's mastery of the style.

We have secured 7 cases of 2009 Ribera Del Duero, Cepa 21. We have it open now, it is a cherry raspberry monster with lots of spice. Elegant and rich, this Ribera is composed of Tempranillo splashed with Tinto Fino. The 2009 vintage is classic and this wine will cellar, but it absolutely excellent right now! Rich red fruit and velvety tannins makes this a classic pairing for holiday recipes.

I think it is better than the multiple 91 point reviews below. R
"The 2009 Cepa 21 is from 15- to 25-year-old vines and aged in new French and American oak for 14 months. It has a very impressive bouquet with dark red fruit, wild strawberry, hints of dark chocolate and again, just a distant scent of lavender. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, crisp acidity and a very well-defined, vibrant finish with cranberry and wild strawberry that is very satisfying. Bon vin!" 91 points Robert Parker
"Glass-staining ruby. Sexy, oak-spiced aromas of dark berry compote, cola and violet, with subtle vanilla and underbrush nuances. Broad and sweet on the palate, offering ripe blackberry and cherry-vanilla flavors and slow-mounting smokiness. The floral note comes back on the finish, which clings with impressive tenacity and focus. Shows good energy for a ripe vintage." 91 points Vinous / Antonio Galloni
Roasted black-fruit, horsehide and rubbery aromas filter onto a tannic palate with all sorts of fruit extract and pulp for support. This is a rich, ripe wine from a warm vintage with tons of berry power, oak, herbal notes, tobacco and prune on the flavor profile. The finish is ripe, with spice and licorice flavors. 91 Wine Enthusiast,
Bright ruby. Red and dark berry aromas show very good clarity, with spice and floral notes providing added lift. Juicy and precise on the palate, offering focused raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a hint of candied rose. Finishes bright and long, with resonating spice and cherry notes. This wine is quite suave, and surprisingly drinkable now, but it has the balance to age. 91 Stephen Tanzer,

2013 Trefethen Oak Knoll District Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa
We had the opportunity to taste all of the Trefethen wines this summer. We were very impressed with the 2013 Oak Knoll Cabernet. We both noted distinct
raspberry mingled with rich cassis. The tannins are supple and there is
a definite chocolate component that we both thought very enticing. There were several wines in our tasting, so the Cab was open for approximately 30 minutes before we initially poured . By then the tannins were supple and the wine showed with extreme table appeal. Having said that, Trefethen makes highly structured, classically crafted wines. This Trefethen should grow, layer and retain excellent fruit for well over ten years. The 2013 Trefethen Oak Knoll Cab Sells for $60.00 at the vineyard. We have received very favorable pricing on a six case allotment.

The 2013 Vintage ;The spring was warm and dry, getting the vines off to an early start. The weather stayed warm throughout the summer but was free of damaging heat spells. September brought a classic Napa Valley autumn with warm days and very cool nights. With the consistent warmth, the harvest began about two weeks early and we had a very busy September. The beautiful growing season resulted in truly exceptional wines-full of ripe flavors, developed in the sunshine, and balanced by natural acidity from the cool nights.
Classic producer makes a beautiful red. Bright aromas of blueberries, raspberries and black licorice. Full-bodied, firm and silky. Wet earth, bark and mineral undertones. Fantastic now but better in 2018. 93 points, James Suckling (Jan 2016)
This wine is expansive and juicy on the palate. A tight grip shows its youth while the underlying softness on the texture reflects the relative coolness of the growing spot. It imparts Napa's robust ripeness in its depth of cassis, chocolate and black pepper. (9/2016) 90 points Wine Enthusiast
"The 2013 Trefethen Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the brightest stars from one of the Napa Valley's best vintages in recent years. Beautiful from start to finish, the wine's impressive nose-bold black fruits, lively black currants, sweet oak-scripts a scene of delight. Serve with a Porterhouse steak topped with blue cheese. Starting to drink nicely. (Tasted: July 20, 2016, San Francisco, CA)" 94 points Wilfred Wong of Wine.com
Not far removed from its year-older reserve counterpart in terms of its slightly tighter, more structured stance, this wine is both a bit riper in tone and comparatively tougher in its tannins. It has more than enough concentrated fruit and inner extract to hold up for the length stay in the cellar that it so clearly requires, but it will require some five to ten years before making good on its considerable promise, and it has the potential to evolve positively for many years after that. (4/2016) Connoisseurs Guide
We happened to have two very geek whites to try in one day. We brined, seasoned and rottisierised a turkey breast, sliced some cheeses and then set out to see what they are all about. The results are below ( 2 wines). Rex and Michele
2012 Lo and Behold Napa White Blend (less than 100 cases produced)
The Lo and Behold project is one in which six acclaimed Napa winemakers came together under one label. They were given virtually unlimited resources. They had access to the best grapes, the best barrels and best facilities with which to create wines of their particular vision. They did not make much. less that 100 cases per vision. Cult winemaker Chris Matthiasson decided to make a European field blend all with Napa fruit. This wine is harmonic in that all of the varietals blend, and then come together with a big crescendo. The nose is melon and white flowers. The flavor profile is honey dew combined with nectarine. This wine is both an east drink and powerful. Light, refreshing and palate pleasing at front palate, the finish becomes very big in nectarine, orange blossom and white flowers. Highly crafted!
a co-ferment (in 20% new barrels) of Sauvignon Blanc (59%) and Sémillon (16%) from Ryans Vineyard in the south of Napa with Ribolla Gialla (20%) and Tocai Friulano (5%) from Vare Vineyard at the mouth of Napa's Dry Creek canyon.
Release at $49.00-$59.00 we have 44 bottles at $32.50 per
