We had a great time at the Classic Cafe tasting Monday night. We have tasted and loved each wine 3 times now, so thought you guys might be interested. There is a link that will discuss the wines in more details.
Please scroll down for a couple of wine deals. A highly rated Tempranillo and a great deal on an Oregon Pinot.
And if you are in the Dallas Metroplex, see the wine tasting offer at the bottom.
Have a great weekend! Rex & Michele
First, if you have never been to Mr. Wok and you are in the Dallas Metroplex, please go!!! You will be amazed. Call the day before to order your peking duck and take some wine!!!!
Our good friend Emiliano called to ask if we were into a little Mr. Wok. Yes we answered " we are always into a little Mr. Wok" particularly when it is Emiliano who is inviting us. Mr Wok ( if you are not familiar) is a sensational BYOB in Plano which serves an exquisite Peking Duck. Emiliano ( Monchiero) is the Italian specialist Somm with the national import portfolio Kobrand. The combination of food and wine at this lunch could only be avoided by the gastronomically impaired. We are many things, but gastronomically impaired is not one. We tasted 9 wines that day, all beautiful. We are featuring two of those today because we believe THIS IS THE MOST BANG FOR THE BUCK!
All of the very best,
Rex and Michele

- 92 points Wine Spectator " broad, generous and deftly balanced"
We purchased an end of month deep deal on the Erath Estate Pinot. We opened it last night with friends in the wine business. We were all very impressed , particularly considering the price.the Erath displays rich, mocha laced tannins. The flavor profile is cherry, raspberry and very fresh. The finish is long with a smoky roasted hazel nut aspect. The Erath is a normal $40 or more in this market. read more
The proof is always in the glass!
